A Fever Test is a group of diagnostic investigations used to determine the root cause of a fever, which may arise due to various infections or medical conditions. Since fever is a common symptom linked to illnesses like dengue, typhoid, malaria, COVID-19, or urinary tract infections, doctors recommend specific tests based on symptoms and clinical findings. Commonly included tests are Complete Blood Count (CBC), Widal test, Malaria Parasite test, Dengue NS1 Antigen, blood cultures, and urine analysis. These tests help distinguish between bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections. Fever testing is particularly important when the fever is persistent, very high, or accompanied by additional symptoms like chills, rash, body aches, or fatigue. Timely and accurate diagnosis allows for targeted treatment and reduces the risk of complications.
